At Mansfield Cosmetic Surgery Center, we offer post bariatric reconstructive plastic surgery and after weight loss surgery for individuals having undergone massive weight loss following successful bariatric surgery or weight loss programs. We work collectively with a team of bariatric surgeons who perform various bariatric procedures including, open gastric bypass, laparoscopic gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, LAP-BAND®, and the REALIZE Personalized Banding Solution.
The hybrid term "Bariaesthetics" is an original term pioneered by Dr. Michael Thornton and derives itself from the combination of "Bariatrics" and "Aesthetics". We use Bariaesthetics to define procedures specifically limited to individuals who have successfully lost weight and are now seeking improved appearance and body contouring. Bariaesthetic surgical procedures that we offer include face lift and neck lift, female breast lift, male breast reshaping, abdominoplasty, panniculectomy, arm lift, brachioplasty, medial thigh lift, lateral thigh lift, body lift, removal of excess skin folds, abdominal hernia repair, and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
We realize your journey is not entirely complete following successful bariatric surgery or massive weight loss, as now you have to deal with the burden of loose and flabby skin. However, during your consultation, Dr. Michael Thornton will perform a thorough examination and collaborate with you regarding your desires and overall expectations, as our goal is to improve your appearance and body image. We encourage you to be an active participant during the consultation so we can determine which surgical procedure is the most appropriate for you as it relates to your unique and personal circumstance.
